John Eads

John Eads

John Eads is President of Sierra. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1972 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas in 1975. Mr. Eads began his career with Aramco in Saudi Arabia in 1975. In 1977, he returned to the United States and started his career as an independent producer in the Texas, Louisiana, California and Gulf of Mexico arenas. Mr. Eads directly supervises the negotiation and closing of all Sierra acquisitions and exploratory projects. Since 1987, 2-D and 3-D seismic supported drilling programs, which Mr. Eads supervised, has had an 80% success rate. Sierra has successfully completed 45 acquisitions since 1992, with a finding and development cost of $.65/MCFE.

Robert Fabris

Robert Fabris

Robert S. Fabris is Executive Vice President Land and Business Development for Sierra. Mr. Fabris received a BA from the University of Mississippi in 1978 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1980. Mr. Fabris began his career with Amoco Production Company in 1980. He held a variety of managerial positions, including the direction of a $46 MM exploratory joint venture with a major insurance company and a Japanese energy company. In 1991, Mr. Fabris became District Manager for Placid Oil Company in Houston. He supervised all Gulf Coast operations and various projects in the Dutch North Sea. In 1995, Shell Western E & P Inc. recruited Mr. Fabris to establish a growth venture department for the Texas Gulf Coast. In 20 months, Mr. Fabris closed property acquisitions and joint venture projects totaling $65 MM. Mr. Fabris manages all land, negotiation and contract matters for Sierra and identifies joint venture and acquisition candidates.

John Kelly

John Kelly

John H. Kelly is Executive Vice President Engineering for Sierra. Mr. Kelly received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1980 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1989. His past employers include Phillips Petroleum, Terra Resources, Pacific Enterprises, Hugoton Energy, Seagull Energy and most recently, TCW Asset Management Company where he served as Vice President. Mr. Kelly has worked most of the major basins in the United States along with international areas including the North Sea, South America, Indonesia and Australia. He handles all reservoir engineering and property evaluations for Sierra.

John C. Eads

John C. Eads

John C. Eads is Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Eads began his career as an analyst in the Wells Fargo Energy Group in 2003. Subsequently, Mr. Eads spent seven years in the Jefferies Energy Investment Banking Group, in the Houston and London offices, where he focused on structured finance and mergers and acquisitions for domestic and international exploration and production companies. Most recently, Mr. Eads was Manager of Business Development & Acquisitions for BreitBurn Energy Partners, L.P., a master limited partnership exclusively focused in the exploration and production sector, where he was responsible for origination, structuring and valuation of upstream acquisitions. Mr. Eads received a B.B.A. in finance from Southern Methodist University in 2003.

John Campbell

John Campbell

John T. Campbell joined Sierra Resources LLC in August 2014 as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Campbell received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1985, and began his career working offshore Louisiana for the Kerr-McGee Corporation. In 1988, Mr. Campbell began his 17 year tenure working for international start-up, Kelt Oil and Gas, which later became Perenco. Mr. Campbell worked a variety of oil and gas assets in the US before accepting international positions in Operations Management in Turkey, Venezuela, Gabon, and France. In 2005, Mr. Campbell joined Southwestern Energy (SWN) as Asset Manager of their Permian and Gulf Coast properties, but was quickly reassigned to their Fayetteville Shale project. For the next 7 years, Mr. Campbell helped direct the development of this 800,000 acre, multi-rig vertically integrated, world class asset. Mr. Campbell's last two years at SWN were spent managing the operations of their New Ventures group, exploring for resource plays in Colorado, Utah, and Montana. In 2013, Mr. Campbell joined Aurora Oil and Gas as Vice President of Operations and managed their 2-rig Eagle Ford Shale development.

Marlynn Gomez

Marylynn L. Gomez

Marylynn L. Gomez is the Land Manager for Sierra. She received a JD from Oak Brook College of Law in 2004. Ms. Gomez began her career with BP as a land consultant in 2008. Her experience with acquisitions, divestures and drilling operations in both operated and non-operated positions brought her onboard with the Sierra team in 2011 as a consulting Landman. Since that time, Ms. Gomez has overseen the acquisition of acreage in Ohio on individual projects and stepped into her current role as Land Manager for the development and drilling phase of that asset. Ms. Gomez oversees Sierra's acquisition process, including due diligence completion and asset management.

Kelly Ward

Kelly Ward

Kelly A. Ward is Controller for Sierra. Ms. Ward received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado in 1980 and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado. Ms. Ward began her oil and gas career in Denver, working in tax for Energetics, Inc., Gary Williams Oil Producers, and Barbara White and Associates before moving to Houston in 1990. Ms. Ward subsequently worked as Controller for Playa Oil & Gas, LLC and as Assistant Controller for Wapiti Energy, LLC before coming to Sierra in April 2014. Ms. Ward's focus is in cash flow management, internal and external reporting, and preparation of financial statements associated with Sierra's acquisitions, operations, and divestitures.
