John Eads

President

John Eads is President of Sierra. Mr. Eads oversees all of Sierra’s operations including project selection and execution. Mr. Eads began his career with Aramco in Saudi Arabia in 1975. In 1977, he returned to the United States and started his career as an independent producer in the Texas, Louisiana, California and Gulf of Mexico arenas. Mr. Eads founded Sierra in 1992 and has led numerous private equity sponsored projects in South Texas and in the Appalachian Basin.

Mr. Eads received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1972 and a MBA from the University of Texas in 1975.

John C. Eads

Chief Financial Officer

John C. Eads is Chief Financial Officer of Sierra and joined the company in 2011. Mr. Eads began his career with the Wells Fargo Energy Group in 2003. Subsequently, Mr. Eads spent seven years in the Jefferies Energy Investment Banking Group, in the Houston and London offices, where he focused on structured finance and mergers and acquisitions for domestic and international exploration and production companies. Prior to joining Sierra, Mr. Eads was Manager of Business Development & Acquisitions for BreitBurn Energy Partners, L.P., a master limited partnership exclusively focused in the exploration and production sector, where he was responsible for origination, structuring and valuation of upstream acquisitions.

Mr. Eads received a BBA in finance from Southern Methodist University in 2003.

John T. Campbell

Chief Operating Officer

John T. Campbell is Chief Operating Officer of Sierra. Mr. Campbell received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1985. Mr. Campbell began his career working offshore Louisiana for the Kerr-McGee Corporation. In 1988, he embarked on his 17-year tenure working for Kelt Oil and Gas, an international start-up, which later became Perenco. Mr. Campbell worked a variety of oil and gas assets in the US before accepting international positions in Operations Management in Turkey, Venezuela, Gabon and France. In 2005, Mr. Campbell joined Southwestern Energy (SWN) as Asset Manager of its Permian and Gulf Coast properties, but was quickly reassigned to SWN’s Fayetteville Shale project. For the next 7 years, Mr. Campbell helped direct the development of this 800,000-acre, multi-rig vertically integrated, world-class asset. Mr. Campbell's last two years at SWN were spent managing the operations of their New Ventures group, exploring for resource plays in Colorado, Utah and Montana. In 2013, Mr. Campbell joined Aurora Oil and Gas as Vice President of Operations and managed their 2-rig Eagle Ford Shale development.

Robert S. Fabris

EVP - Land & Business Development

Robert S. Fabris is Executive Vice President, Land and Business Development of Sierra. Mr. Fabris received a BA from the University of Mississippi in 1978 and a MBA from the University of Georgia in 1980. Mr. Fabris began his career with Amoco Production Company in 1980 working Gulf Coast, GOM and Alaska. He held a variety of managerial positions, including the direction of a $46 MM exploratory joint venture with a major insurance company and a Japanese energy company. In 1991, Mr. Fabris became District Manager for Placid Oil Company in Houston. He supervised all Gulf Coast operations and various projects in the Dutch North Sea. In 1995, Shell Western E & P Inc. recruited Mr. Fabris to establish a growth venture department for the Texas Gulf Coast. In 20 months, Mr. Fabris closed property acquisitions and joint venture projects totaling $65 MM. Mr. Fabris manages all land, negotiation, A&D and contract matters for Sierra and identifies joint venture and acquisition candidates.

John H. Kelly is Executive Vice President, Engineering of Sierra. Mr. Kelly received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1980 and a MBA from the University of Houston in 1989. His past employers include Phillips Petroleum, Terra Resources, Pacific Enterprises, Hugoton Energy, Seagull Energy and most recently, TCW Asset Management Company where he served as Vice President. Mr. Kelly has worked most of the major basins in the United States along with international areas including the North Sea, South America, Indonesia and Australia. He handles all reservoir engineering and property evaluations for Sierra.

Tanner M. Sykes

Manager, Land & Business Development

Tanner M. Sykes is Manager, Land & Business Development of Sierra. Mr. Sykes received a bachelor’s degree in 2005 and a master’s degree in 2006 from Texas Tech University in energy commerce, and earned his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2013. He began his career with El Paso E&P Company in 2007 working the Texas Gulf Coast, Black Warrior, Arkoma and Eagle Ford Shale Basins. During his six-year tenure in the Eagle Ford, Mr. Sykes oversaw development from the initial leasing phase through mature-field development, and also effectively led a multi-disciplinary technical team whose responsibility was to identify actionable opportunities and to execute through leasing and acquisitions. Prior to joining Sierra, Mr. Sykes was the A&D Project Manager for EP Energy where he coordinated successful transactions in the Permian, Eagle Ford and Uintah Basins. He is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and also a Certified Professional Landman with the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Joram M. Hadden

Completions Manager

Joram Hadden is Completions Manager of Sierra. Mr. Hadden received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2010. Mr. Hadden started his career with Lewis Energy Group, a vertically integrated E&P company with operations in South Texas, Mexico and Columbia. He spent over 6 years in various completion and production roles, including working as one of two completion engineers at Lewis during the peak of their operations with 6 frac fleets. He worked closely with JV partner, BP, on numerous trials using cutting-edge technology to further enhance the completion design of their South Texas assets covering over 375,000 acres. The company experienced rapid production growth from 130,000 MCFD to almost 800,000 MCFD during his time there. In 2015, he was promoted into an Asset Manager role responsible for Lewis’s South Texas dry gas assets with wells in the Eagle Ford, Olmos and Escondido formations.

Peter H. Langille

Peter Langille is Drilling Manager of Sierra. Mr. Langille received a BS in Applied Sciences from Acadia University in 2000 and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University in 2003. Mr. Langille began his career with Marathon Oil Company while still in school in 2002 and spent 10 years in various roles including Drilling Manager over assets in Canada, Oklahoma and Texas. Mr. Langille was Marathon’s Drilling Manager over a 20-rig drilling program in the Eagle Ford Shale when he left the company in 2012 to become self-employed. While working as a self-employed contractor, Mr. Langille spent a year with BHP as a Senior Consultant Drilling Engineer to aid in improving their Eagle Ford operations. Mr. Langille also spent 3 years with Vitruvian Exploration as their Senior Contract Drilling Engineer and helped drive performance while delineating their private equity-backed SCOOP Woodford and Springer asset in Oklahoma, which sold for $1.85 billion in 2017.

Kevin H. Pruitt is the GIS & IT Manager of Sierra. Mr. Pruitt received a BS in Geography with a concentration in Resources and Environmental Studies from Southwest Texas State University in 2000. His past employers include Southwestern Energy, Vitruvian Exploration, RAAM Global Energy and The National Geographic Society. Mr. Pruitt has directed teams on various GIS projects throughout his career, including acquiring various formats of imagery and geospatial data, mapping assets from multiple large acreage acquisitions, as well as facilitating the mapping of company assets for marketing and divestment opportunities. Mr. Pruitt has also developed company standards and procedures for mapping, lease management, and synchronizing datasets amongst geological and geophysical applications. Mr. Pruitt oversees all of Sierra’s Geospatial operations and information technology.

G. Bret Wonson

G. Bret Wonson is Controller of Sierra. Mr. Wonson received a BS in Accounting from Mississippi State University in 2000 and a MAcc from the University of Alabama in 2001. Mr. Wonson is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. Mr. Wonson began his career working for Arthur Anderson and Grant Thornton in their Houston offices where he spent five years focused on serving clients in multiple sectors of the energy industry. Most recently, Mr. Wonson served as Vice President, Principal Accounting Officer of Earthstone Energy (and its predecessor, Oak Valley Resources, LLC), an active public company exclusively focused in the exploration and production sector. At Earthstone, Mr. Wonson was responsible for all facets of accounting and financial reporting for the company. Mr. Wonson has also held positions as controller and assistant controller for GeoResources, Inc., and Valerus Compression. Mr. Wonson’s focus is on cash flow management, internal and external reporting, and preparation of financial statements associated with Sierra’s operations, acquisitions and divestitures.

Kimberly S. Clifton

Operation & Regulatory Analyst

Kimberly S. Clifton is Operation and Regulatory Analyst of Sierra. Ms. Clifton began her career with Anadarko Petroleum in Offshore Operational Accounting in 2000, but was soon reassigned to the Worldwide Drilling department as an Engineering Technician. Ms. Clifton’s oil and gas experience includes drilling, completions and production support, database management and regulatory compliance for Turnkey E&P, Southwestern Energy and RAAM Global. Ms. Clifton subsequently worked as Senior Engineering Technical Assistant for Repsol USA in a 250K-acre Joint Venture Mississippian play located in Oklahoma and Kansas before coming to Sierra in February 2017. Ms. Clifton’s focus is to assist engineers in projects and research and development.

His work experience has mainly been focused in Texas and the Gulf Coast while working for Tenneco Oil, Fina, Burlington Resources and Peoples Energy. Before starting with Sierra in March 2016, Mr. Bunkers spent eight years at Common Resources where he helped develop their South Texas Eagle Ford properties and Permian Basin assets.
